Archiving

The file based Observer system removes traditional tape recordings from the archiving process by continuously recording and displaying broadcasts from all channels, on a single monitor, and storing them as digital files in a central database. By utilizing high-density storage strategies such as RAID (Redundancy Array of Inexpensive Disks,) the Observer system occupies a fraction of the footprint left by yesteday’s cabinets of videotape, multiple monitors, and VCRs, while also offering export functions.
