Verifying Content Integrity After Local Ad Insertion Equipment
Operators are constantly pushing ad insertion closer to the edge to help monetize the value of targeted advertising. However, this creates a multitude of unique channel lineups deep into the network that need to be independently verified.
In this scenario, RPM systems are deployed post-set-top box (STB) and can either be deployed remotely or, if the unique QAM lineups are already backhauled to a central location, centrally. The RPM can then monitor a unique channel lineup from each STB, allowing for a very powerful yet cost-effective monitoring capability for all channel lineups that verifies the integrity of the services available for each lineup.
