Reducing Costs of Troubleshooting Chronic, Intermittent Issues
All operators have eventually faced the challenge of an intermittent, chronic issue that is difficult to replicate, isolate and troubleshoot. The RPM’s continuous recording and video quality assurance notifications can be a great asset to address these chronics. Whether scanning through content or monitoring a single channel, the RPM continuously records the content at up to full frame-rate and full resolution for over seven days.
When an operator identified a program or lineup with a chronic problem, the RPM can be used to search through the recording and view the customer impact of impairments. This has two effects: 1) it allows the technician to really see the result of the impairment which frequently helps establish the root cause of the problem, and 2) it enables the technician to verify and isolate when errors occurred.
The visualization and continuous recording enable the operator to address chronic, intermittent issues more quickly and with less manpower.
