Post-STB Interactive Applications Monitoring - IPTV, EBIF and Tru2way
As EBIF, Tru2way, and IPTV bring operators closer to a Web-like interactive experience, operators must have a way to ensure the availability and response of the interactive applications and advertising. Because the RPM incorporates scripting and controls the STB through the user IR-type controls, it is able to command access and test these interactive applications.
By incorporating periodic interactive applications testing into the RPM service lineup, the operator is able to test linear, on-demand, and interactive applications all with one system. Additionally, as many operators continue to plan for additional interactive applications, the flexible scripting interface assures the operator that the RPM system will be able to test the services today and in the future.
