Monitoring Analog, QAM Digital, IP Digital, SDV and On-demand Content in From One System
Because the Observer RPM accesses content after the set-top box (STB), the RPM can monitor and test the A/V regardless of the method it was carried. Whether operators deliver A/V content as:
- NTSC or PAL analog
- QAM digital video, HD or SD
- IPTV digital – either from an IPTV service or as a on-demand service for a high-speed connected STB
- Switched Digital Video (SDV) or
- On-demand
the RPM can access and test the content in one system.
This allows operators to deploy systems that will handle the transitions they are dealing with now (SDV, IPTV, analog) while growing into the future (IPTV digital and interactive).
